About Indivisible Longmont
Who We Are
Indivisible Longmont is a newly formed, volunteer-led grassroots organization dedicated to one fundamental goal: preserving and strengthening democracy in our community and beyond.
We are your neighbors — teachers, retirees, parents, students, and working people — united by the belief that democracy is not self-sustaining. It requires active, engaged citizens who are willing to show up, speak out, and take action. We are unconditionally committed to nonviolence in all our actions. Our power comes from people, not force — and we believe that peaceful, determined civic action is both our most effective tool and our deepest obligation to one another.
Our Mission
We believe democracy is under threat. Not as an abstract political talking point, but as a lived reality that affects every aspect of our daily lives — our rights, our institutions, our future. Indivisible Longmont exists to meet that threat head on.
We are non-partisan. We are not affiliated with any political party. Our allegiance is to democratic values — free and fair elections, the rule of law, equal representation, and the protection of civil rights for all people.
What We Do
We organize. We advocate. We resist.
As a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement, we use proven, locally-focused advocacy strategies to hold elected officials accountable and amplify the voices of Longmont residents. We show up at town halls, contact our representatives, participate in peaceful protests, and connect our community with the tools and resources needed to make their voices heard.
We also believe that no organization can do this alone. We are actively building coalitions with other area organizations that share our commitment to democratic values — because the challenges we face require all of us working together.
We’re Just Getting Started
Indivisible Longmont is a young organization with big ambitions. We are small but growing, and we want you to be part of what we’re building. Every movement starts somewhere. Every large organization was once a handful of passionate people who decided that doing nothing was not an option.
This is that moment. This is that organization. And we need you.
